It's Only Just Begun!

“All these are the beginning of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:8)

There have been a lot of articles and commentaries written about September 11, 2001. Osama Bin Laden is now a name that is very familiar to the world. This edition of Hodges Highlights is not necessarily about looking back at the horrible tragedies that happened on that day. Rather we are going to look ahead but if you are not a born-again Bible-believing Christian, then you will not understand what will be mentioned.

I remember just a few days after the terrorist attacks happened, an unsaved person I know started talking to me about how these events sounded like something out of the book of Revelation. I simply mentioned that what is going to take place in the book of Revelation is going to make 9-11 look like a minor incident. I also told this person that I’m not going to be here when it all happens, although I may go through persecution before Jesus calls me up to meet Him in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 4:1). I believe this is all the beginning of sorrows as Jesus said.

Now looking ahead, I seem to find the issues at hand very suspicious. My personal opinion about the search that is going on for Osama Bin Laden is that it is all a staged event to some extent. The inner circle of the global elite will probably use this as a great opportunity to get an “international criminal” to try in the United Nations International Criminal Court that now exists. This will open the door for all kinds of “international crimes” to be prosecuted. That’s just a portion of what I think the outcome will be from this crisis. Just another stepping stone to achieve the pipe dreams of Godless, super-rich globalists as they pave the way for their “messiah” the Antichrist.

We have seen the uprising of more calls for a one-world religion and one-world government from these current events. I bring this to your attention because the definition of the word “terrorist” will be interpreted by liberals as those who believe the Bible and those who believe there is only one way to Heaven which is through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. There is now Homeland Security that is supposed to protect us from terrorists and rightfully so as we Americans must remain vigilant and alert as well. But it is just a matter of time before the wrong kind of people gets control over these anti-terrorist resources and use them to go after their version of what a “terrorist” is.

The media is already successful in corrupting the word “fundamentalist.” According to the media, fundamentalists are the ones who shoot people and blow up buildings in the name of religion. Political correctness will probably prove to be the unseen enemy that will deliver the knock out punch to this nation if the grace of God doesn’t intervene. What I’m saying is that it’s only just begun.

America has proved that she has a short memory of the past. The issues of the Ten Commandments and prayer is still a heated debate in the public schools. And you thought that America repented? You wouldn’t think that a nation who calls for God to bless them would highly recommend books of witchcraft (Harry Potter) in their schools while the Bible is still not allowed. It sounds like America has flunked the test in Repentance 101. It seems like another wake up call is in store because it is not the end. It’s only just begun!
